51407-Polyimide Tape

Tesa® 51407 are high-quality polyimide tapes with silicone adhesive, developed specifically for applications requiring high temperature and chemical resistance.

Tesa® 51407  can be used in a variety of applications, particularly for wave soldering, thermal insulation, cable wrapping, and masking during powder coating processes. The tape forms clean color edges and provides excellent paint adhesion. The silicone adhesive system of this polyimide tape provides high peel strength on various surfaces and gives the tape excellent heat resistance, withstanding extreme temperatures up to 260°c in continuous applications.

• Substrate and Adhesive System: Kapton polyimide film + silicone adhesive, thin (approximately 62-65μm), conformable, suitable for masking and insulation on complex curved surfaces.
• High Temperature Resistance: Continuous temperature resistance up to 260℃, short-term resistance up to 315℃, suitable for high-temperature processes such as wave soldering and reflow soldering.
• Electrical Insulation: High dielectric strength (approximately 6000V), H-class insulation, ensuring the safety of electronic components.
• Chemical Resistance and Easy Peeling: Resistant to solvents/acids and bases, low residue after high-temperature exposure, does not contaminate the workpiece, and provides sharp color edges for powder coating.
• Mechanical Stability: Excellent tensile strength, not easily damaged during application and at high temperatures.

Our independently developed polyimide tapes, KA06F30, are precise equivalents to German Tesa 51407 – their core performance fully matches the original Tesa products, while offering superior cost-effectiveness.
